St Johns Wood Shul is home to a cosmopolitan, highly talented group of young professionals from literally all around the world. They play a large and important part within our community and are led by our young professional directors Richard & Melanie Harounoff.
Richard & Melanie have been with the shul since February 2006 and are constantly arranging both social and educational activities for our members as well as all young people within the areas. We have ties with local orthodox communities and organisations which facilitates greater social opportunities.
From communal Friday night dinners to barbeques, from informal lectures to trips away, at St Johns Wood we are more than able to cater for you whatever your interest.
Our goal is simple: To bring young people together in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and to provide a second home for all.
Events
Every Wednesday 8.30pm: Informal class on various topics given by Richard in the shul study hall. Contact Richard for details.
Friday Nights: Richard & Melanie would love to host you and your friends at their home. This is a great way to meet new people and taste some great home cooked food. Contact Melanie for details.
Communal Friday Nights (Once every 6 weeks or so): Join 100+ young people for a great meal often accompanied by a guest speaker. This is often run in conjunction with another Community or Organisation.
