The St John’s Wood Eruv Committee is delighted to announce that our Eruv application passed by three votes in favour and one vote against at the Westminster Council Planning committee last night.
The Eruv committee would like to express its thanks to the Planning Committee and the Councillors who supported the application and also to our superb team of professional advisors and the London Beth Din for their support in achieving this milestone.
The application which was passed provides for the poles within the City of Westminster, forming two sides of our proposed eruv. We now await formal confirmation from Brent and Camden councils in relation to our applications for the final poles to complete the circuit.
The process going forward will include the agreement of legal formalities relating to the maintenance and management of the Eruv with the councils, some revisions to pole positions and also fundraising for the construction and on-going upkeep.
Special thanks must go to all those whose dedication and hard work has made this possible.
We look forward to updating the community further as the eruv progresses.
